Nuklear Forum Website Update

Design / UX

Summary

With an unresponsive template & updated design, Amazee Labs took Nuklear Forum's D7 site, refreshed its design & made it responsive all within a set budget.

Case description

The goals set for the project were to use the allocated budget efficiently to achieve the primary objective of a responsive website, as well as to attain as many enhancements as possible within the same development sprints to enhance the user experience on both mobile and desktop.

The focus was on using Drupal 7 as effectively as possible so that we could make rapid development changes, and allow the client to efficiently change content on the existing site while we were in the development phase. Once development was completed, we migrated content from their current site to their new site before launching.

Case goals and results

The goals set for the project were to use the allocated budget efficiently to achieve the primary objective of a responsive website, as well as attaining as many enhancements as possible within the same development sprints to enhance the user experience both on mobile and desktop. The end results were a great looking update to the website that was fully responsive.

Challenges

Since the project took a few months, the challenge was to move all their updated content from the existing site to the new one before launch, within a set time, budget, and without any problems.

Why should this case win the splash awards?

This case was a great example of converting a fixed width theme in Drupal 7 into a responsive site with an updated design, an improved CTA to allow for better conversion, and a more user-friendly integration of the SHOP function -- all without impacting the current live site that was running.
